Forced First Impression

Pin your exact wording as impression item #1 and let RadPal generate the rest.

What It Does

Sometimes the lead finding needs to be said your way — the exact hedge, the exact phrasing, the wording you would defend in a tumor board. Forced First Impression lets you dictate that sentence yourself and have RadPal use it verbatim as item #1 of the impression, while the AI generates the remaining items from your findings as usual.

Add a FIRST IMPRESSION: header anywhere in your dictation, followed by your wording. RadPal pulls that block out before generating, so it never appears in your findings section — it only comes back as the top of your impression.

Example:

EXAM: CT Chest with contrast

FIRST IMPRESSION:
Findings are most compatible with a primary bronchogenic carcinoma. Tissue sampling is recommended.

FINDINGS:

4.2 cm spiculated right upper lobe mass. Enlarged right hilar lymph nodes. No pleural effusion.

The generated impression then begins with your sentence, exactly as dictated:

IMPRESSION:

1. Findings are most compatible with a primary bronchogenic carcinoma. Tissue sampling is recommended.
2. Enlarged right hilar lymph nodes, suspicious for nodal metastasis.
3. No pleural effusion.
